About
It was always about the songs
Ryan Terrigno is an indie singer-songwriter from Anaheim, CA – five minutes down the road from Disneyland.
A musician since 13, songwriter since 16 - Ryan spent the first 12 years of his career fronting Orange County rock bands Wester and We Are The Arsenal. On the strength of 2 full-length albums and 4 E.P.s, he led his bands to headlining status locally, while touring across the U.S. and Japan with stops on the Vans Warped Tour and opening slots for Lit, Angels & Airwaves, Senses Fail, & Hawthorne Heights.
With over a decade of the musical grind under his belt, Ryan briefly stepped away from actively pursuing music in order to take advantage of an opportunity to build & grow a tech startup with some friends who would eventually turn into family. Although he wasn't touring or releasing music, the creative draw to write songs never ever left him. Ryan continued to write and self-record, bolstering his production skills in his home studio.
In early 2022, a change of pace within Ryan's professional career allowed for a renewed sense of focus on music. He decided that he was tired of sitting on the sidelines while his greatest passion was left untapped and unnoticed. In July of that year, Ryan began a collaboration with producer Alex Dezen that would end up lasting for years. He & Alex entered the studio to record what would become his debut solo album, "Alive & Well" - his first official release since parting ways with We Are The Arsenal.
"Alive & Well" was an album full of heartbreakingly-beautiful songs, blending genres from Folk and Indie to Pop and Alternative - bolstered by a cast of world-class musicians, including Zac Clark (Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness), Brian Griffin (The Black Crowes), and Rich Hinman (Sara Bareilles). Released on October 27th, 2023, "Alive & Well" was truly a love-letter to the human condition, and marked a career-defining moment for Terrigno.
Ryan spent the majority of 2024 in and out of the studio with Dezen, tracking the follow-up to "Alive & Well" – releasing singles along the way – culminating with the release of LP2, "Be Where You Are," on June 26, 2025. This album was a major step forward, not only sonically thanks to Dezen's slick production work, but also a more mature effort musically & lyrically. Acoustic-driven songs about the banalities of life and love at the end of the world - set to insanely catchy melodies harkening back to the red letter days of his early pop-punk / emo career - had quickly become Terrigno's calling card.
Never one to rest on his laurels, before LP2 was even shipped, Ryan flew to Dallas, TX in June of 2025 to record his third full-length album, "Southern Bones". He teased the album with singles in late 2025/early 2026, releasing the full effort on February 19th, 2026. "Bones" is a stylistic departure sonically, in that all attempts were made to keep the production organic, and performances natural. No frills, no polish - it was always about the songs.
